CenterPointSports is NFL research for adults 21+: free injuries, weather and picks explained, and Card Magic™ cards on Pro. Here is everything a first visit needs, in plain words. We don’t take bets — we advise.
What CenterPointSports is
We research NFL games and players, and we show our work: a ready-made card of picks for every game, saved before kickoff and graded on the official box score afterwards, misses included. We don’t set odds and we don’t take bets. You decide what, if anything, to play, at a licensed sportsbook where sports wagering is legal.
Real research, real people behind it. Some of our hosts appear through an avatar and an on-air name. The Gambler, Storm Sterling and our AI research team (Monte, Prof, Range and Ticker) are AI characters. Meet the team →

How to read a card
Each game gets one card. It is built in layers: the Core first, then optional extras on top.
A parlay puts several picks on one ticket. It pays more than single bets, but every pick on it has to hit, so every pick you add makes it harder. See how Card Magic works →
How to read odds
US sportsbooks show American odds. The sign tells you which way to read the number.
-110
-110 means you bet $110 to win $100.
A $10 bet at -110 wins $9.09. If it hits you get $19.09 back: your $10 plus $9.09.
If it misses, you lose the $10.
+150
+150 means a $100 bet wins $150.
A $10 bet at +150 wins $15. If it hits you get $25 back: your $10 plus $15.
If it misses, you lose the $10.
A parlay’s price reads the same way: at +600, a $10 ticket wins $60 and you get $70 back if every pick hits. Prices on our pages are FanDuel’s and they move; check the price at your sportsbook before you play. We don’t set odds.
What “correct” and the medals mean
Correct: a card is correct when every Core pick hits, or is voided under injury void coverage. One Core miss and the card is not correct. The extras are graded on their own.
Medals rank a correct card by how many of its core lineups cashed:
- Ran the Table: every core lineup cashed and every other pick on the card hit.
- Gold: every core lineup cashed.
- Silver: two or more core lineups cashed, not all.
- Bronze: one core lineup cashed.
- No medal: a Core pick missed.
A medal is a grade, not a money figure.
Injury void coverage
If a player leaves the game hurt, FanDuel’s Bet Protect+ can void his pick instead of counting it as a miss, so one injury doesn’t sink the whole parlay. Our record shows every card both ways: first without it (the stricter count), then counting injury void coverage.
We recommend turning it on whenever your sportsbook offers it. The sportsbook’s own terms apply.
The record, misses included
Every card is saved before kickoff and graded on the official box score. We count the misses and never change a card after its game starts.
On the record: Expert Desk Card 7 of 10 correct since week 4 (8 of 10 counting injury void coverage) · Card Magic™ 10 of 17 correct since week 4 (11 of 17 counting injury void coverage). Saved before kickoff, graded on the official box score, misses included. Small samples swing. No pick is guaranteed. See every graded card →

Glossary
- American odds (the price)
- How a bet pays. A minus number is what you bet to win $100 (-110: bet $110 to win $100). A plus number is what a $100 bet wins (+150: a $100 bet wins $150). Prices on our pages are FanDuel’s.
- Card
- A ready-made set of picks for one game, saved before kickoff and graded after it on the official box score.
- Core
- The picks a card is graded on. Every Core pick has to hit (or be voided under injury void coverage) for the card to be correct.
- Core of the Week
- The Core picks of one Card Magic™ card each week, free with a free account. The full card is with Pro.
- Correct
- A card is correct when every Core pick hits or is voided under injury void coverage. One Core miss and the card is not correct.
- Probably
- Good picks that just missed the Core. Optional: each one you add pays more and makes the ticket harder to hit.
- Long shot
- Next-surest picks that missed the Probably cut. Optional add-ons, graded on their own.
- Paired picks
- On Pro cards, two picks shown as a pair. The pair counts as a hit if one side hits; you choose which side to play.
- Parlay
- One ticket with several picks. It pays more than single bets, but every pick on it has to hit.
- Leg
- One pick inside a parlay.
- Lineup
- One combination of picks from a card: the kind of ticket you could take to a sportsbook as a parlay.
- Prop
- A bet on one player or one part of the game (like a receiver’s catches) instead of the final score.
- Line
- The number a pick is about, like 4.5 catches. Over means more than the line; under means fewer.
- Over / under (total)
- A bet on whether a number, a player’s yards or the game’s total points, lands over or under the line.
- Spread
- A head start in points. A team at -3.5 has to win by 4 or more; a team at +3.5 can lose by 3 or fewer, or win, and still cover.
- Moneyline
- A bet on who wins the game, with no points added or taken away.
- Medal
- After grading, a correct card gets Ran the Table, Gold, Silver or Bronze by how many of its core lineups cashed; a card with a Core miss gets no medal.
- Injury void coverage
- If a player leaves the game hurt, FanDuel’s Bet Protect+ can void his pick instead of counting it as a miss. Bet Protect+ is FanDuel’s feature, not ours.
- Inactives
- The players each team rules out about 90 minutes before kickoff. We check every card again after they post.
- Saved before kickoff
- Every card is saved before its game starts and never changed, then graded on the official box score.
- Boost
- An odds boost from your sportsbook: it raises what a ticket pays.
- Line shop
- The same bet at several licensed US sportsbooks, side by side, so you can see which one pays more.
- DFS (daily fantasy)
- Fantasy for one slate of games: you pick players under a salary cap, and the slate ends when the games do.
